Techmums Free Online Training

Parents: quick, free online course to develop your tech skills

The charity #techmums has created a great series of free resources to help you develop your tech skills over the summer. 8 topics are covered in total, with subjects ranging from how to get started with the internet and email, through to how to internet safety and how to bank online. Each topic takes around twenty minutes to complete - you can do it on your mobile phone or any other device, and the content is straightforward and clearly presented.

The charity was founded by the inspirational Dame Sue Black. Today, Sue is a well-known professor of computer science; but at the age of 25 she was a single mother to three children, living in a women's refuge. She enrolled in night school, and eventually earned her PHD aged 39. The goal of her charity is to help other mothers become familiar, confident, and excited about the use of technology in their personal, professional, and parenting lives.

You can access the resources by clicking on this special link, which was created for the Harris Federation: https://bit.ly/techmumsOnlineHF
